Kent Women value support from Canterbury Christ Church University

Members of Kent Women’s successful double-winning side of 2021 have given thanks to their major sponsor, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), after a successful season on and off the field.

Over the past seven years, the University, which has campuses across Kent and Medway, has been partnered with one of the most successful counties in domestic women’s cricket.

This season, the University caught up with Kent Women before their ‘Battle of the Bridge’ fixture vs Essex Women, to showcase how CCCU’s continued sponsorship has helped the squad develop, and to hear their views on the benefits a university experience can bring.

Kent Women heroes Susie Rowe, Grace Gibbs, Phoebe Franklin and Alice Davidson-Richards all spoke highly of CCCU’s partnership with the Club:

Andy Griffiths, Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, said: “Our strong partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University continues to give us a great opportunity to really grow women’s cricket in Kent.

“They are a real part of the Kent cricketing family and we look forward to continuing to work closely with them in the future.”

The Kent Women will look to bring further T20 success to the county in 2022 after being confirmed in Group 6 of ECB’s Women’s County T20.
