Opposition report

Glamorgan play Essex Eagles tonight (Saturday 2 July) at Chelmsford, and therefore have a game in hand on all of their rivals.

The Welsh side cannot now qualify for the knockout rounds of the tournament, but two wins in their final two matches may secure a fifth-placed finish.

Former Kent Captain, now Glamorgan Captain, Sam Northeast leads the way with the willow for the visitors as things stand before their match at Chelmsford tonight – his 380 runs come at an average of 42.22.

Australian veteran seamer Michael Hogan has taken 19 wickets for the visitors in this season’s Blast at an economy of 7.59 – ably assisted by compatriot Michael Neser (13) and left-arm spinner Prem Sisodiya (11).

Team News

Kent Men Head Coach Matt Walker has named an unchanged squad of 12 for our match with Glamorgan. Jack Leaning will continue to captain the Spitfires whilst Sam Billings is on international duty.
