Kent now sit in eighth position of Division One after an innings win in their last Championship match, but must continue to gain momentum – both teams below the Spitfires have games in hand to make up.

Following his history-making 300* last time out against Northamptonshire, Daniel Bell-Drummond is now Kent’s highest run-scorer in the Championship this year – followed by Ben Compton (466 total @ 35.84), Joey Evison (374 @ 37.40) & Tawanda Muyeye (371 @ 53.00).

Australia’s Wes Agar is Kent’s top Championship wicket taker so far with 21, Joey Evison 13 & Matt Quinn 12.

Warwickshire are currently fourth in Division one with three wins, two defeats and two draws in seven matches so far – 21 points above Kent in fourth – their last match ending in defeat by nine wickets at Chelmsford.

Sam Hain currently averages 76.57 with the bat in the Championship, scoring 536 runs in six matches. Young talent Dan Mousley has 347 runs at 34.70, & ‘keeper-batter Alex Davies 323 @ 32.29.

With the ball, Warwickshire boast Division One’s top wicket taker so far this year – Chris Rushworth, in his first season as a Bear after making the move from Durham, has 37 Championship wickets at an average of only 16.80.

Pakistan international Hasan Ali has 24 wickets at 21.58, with tall fast bowler, Olly Hannon-Dalby, currently on 21 wickets @ 23.76.

Men’s Head Coach Matt Walker has named a squad of 13 for this match.

Jack Leaning will continue to captain the side in red-ball cricket until the end of the season. As previously communicated, Sam Billings remains the Club Captain in Men’s cricket.

Wes Agar (back), Daniel Bell-Drummond (hamstring) & Marcus O’Riordan (leg) are new additions to Kent’s injury list, with Nathan Gilchrist still unavailable due to injury.

Grant Stewart returns to Kent’s Championship squad with Jas Singh, who took eight wickets in Kent Second XI’s last match against Gloucestershire Seconds, is included alongside Harry Finch – who averages 64.22 in the Second XI Championship after his second century of the season in the competition last time out.
