Message from Chance To Shine ambassador Charlotte Edwards

Kent and England captain Charlotte Edwards:

"As you might know, I’ve been involved with Chance to Shine since 2008 as a coaching ambassador, and I’m also a Trustee. I’ve travelled all over England and Wales giving boys and girls their first taste of cricket.

"I’m lucky to have seen thousands of beaming faces as plastic stumps have been bowled over and winning runs have been struck. For that and so much more, on this Giving Tuesday 2015, I want to give you my thanks.

"Chance to Shine just would not be possible without the support of people like you.

"I’d like to share with you a short video about Mortimer Primary School, which we recently awarded ‘Chance to Shine Primary School of the Year’. It is a great example of what we do. Please click here to meet the kids. They love their cricket.

"If this inspires you as it does me, please help us to spread the power of cricket by sharing the video far and wide on Facebook and Twitter.

"Chance to Shine is using #GivingTuesday to give thanks. To our fans, supporters, coaches and the ambassadors and advocates who’ve got us this far.

"If you could pass on that good feeling a little further, it will help us grow. Please click here to share our video on Facebook and here to share on Twitter."
