Milne to wear #20 in T20 Blast

New Zealand paceman Adam Milne will wear number 20 during his spell at Kent this summer.

The fast bowler, who signed for Kent last week, will join the club after the Champions Trophy and be available for action in both NatWest T20 Blast and Specsavers County Championship matches.

The number was last worn by Kent’s England international Sam Billings and is the New Zealander’s preferred number when he plays for the Black Caps.

Billings will also be available for the tournament and head coach Matt Walker believes Milne will be an excellent addition to the Spitfires attack.

Walker said: “It’s something we identified, certainly in our T20, to get a bit more potency in our attack.

“The sort of plan we want to take forward in our T20 cricket (is an) explosive and really penetrative bowling attack up front and someone that can bowl pretty quickly at the death as well.”

It is just 40 days until the NatWest T20 Blast starts on Sunday 9 July at The County Ground, Beckenham followed by six fixtures at The Spitfire Ground throughout July and August
