One Day, One Game – The Ashes Edition, 12th October

Kent County Cricket Club and Kent Cricket Board are running the second instalment of the successful One Day, One Game conference; this time with a topical Ashes theme throughout. The concept of the day is born out of the England & Wales Cricket Board’s ‘One Game’ initiative, to ensure that cricket is open and accessible to all, regardless of age, race, ability or gender and is also a celebration of the game across the county, from grass roots to professional teams.

This time the day also incorporates the annual Kent Coaches Association but a multitudeof sessions and workshops are running throughout the day in order share the successes of 2013 and best equip those who are vital to the running of Cricket across the County. There are three dedicated sessions for Umpires, Scorers, Groundsmen and Coaches, as well as sessions on key topics including fundraising for Cricket Clubs.

A number of special guests will be around during the day, including Former England Womens Head Coach, World Cup, World T:20 & Ashes Winner Mark Lane, Kent Heroes, Geraint Jones, James Tredwell and Rob Key. Closing the day in a similar fashion to the March event, there will be a panel with our special guests reflecting on the Ashes Summer and looking forward to the clash in Australia this winter.
