Tredwell called into England Test squad

James Tredwell has been called into the England Test squad for the remainder of the series against New Zealand. Off spinner Graeme Swann has been ruled out of the current Test series due to a right elbow injury.

Swann will travel to the United States next week to have an operation on his right elbow. He will then undergo a period of recovery and rehabilitation allowing an anticipated return to competitive cricket in the early summer. The ECB will issue a further update following the operation.
