Tunbridge Wells Cricket Festival – Fashion on the Outfield

Men’s First Team

One of the highlights of this year’s Tunbridge Wells Cricket Festival was the ‘Fashion on the Outfield’ competition.

On the second day of the LV= County Championship fixture against Leicestershire, the ladies were invited to join Bob ‘The Cat’ Bevan MBE on the red carpet, where he introduced each of the ladies in his inimitable style in the lead up to the judging.

Judging was centred on the entire outfit, with each outfit to include a hat, and the ladies did not disappoint – in some cases using a great deal of creativity to ensure that a hat formed part of the outfit!

La Belle Femme's Joanna Edwards and Kent Cricket’s Mike Powell lent their expertise as judges for the competition.

This year’s winners were:

1st Prize: Councillor Jane March (pictured centre)

2nd Prize: Jacqui Collins (pictured third from left)

3rd Prize: Anne Wallace (pictured second from right)

Tunbridge Wells boutique La Belle Femme provided first prize for Fashion on the Outfield; a £500 voucher to spend on their latest ranges – click here for their website. Second prize was a Festive Sunday Lunch for four at Saloman’s, and third prize was ‘Head in the Clouds' – treatments at Champneys plus two tickets to The Importance of Being Earnest at the Pantiles, together with a picnic hamper supplied by Salomon’s.
