Expansion of Disability Cricket in Kent

Westerham CC and Southfleet CC join the ECB Disability Champions Club network
Kent Cricket are pleased to announce that both Westerham CC and Southfleet CC have been successful in their applications to become Disability Champion Clubs. They now join Mersham CC as part of the Kent network of clubs in increasing the opportunities through an ECB national initiative to play and experience cricket in the club environment for those with disabilities.

Bexley Super 1s hub unbeaten in competition.
On 1st June at Leyton Urban Cricket Centre the Bexley hub took part in a competition against other Super 1 hubs from Essex. The super 1s programme is a cricket programme funded by the Lords Taverners and is an opportunity for young people between the ages of 12-25 to play cricket weekly throughout the year and to represent their local area or hub in informal competitions. The Bexley side played with skill and commitment and were undefeated on the day winning all 4 of their games. Kent’s other Super 1s hubs can be found in Bromley, Gravesham and Folkestone.

Kent School reach national final at Lords.
Kent Cricket are delighted to announce that Grange Park School in Wrotham have reached The Lords Taverners Table Cricket Final which will be held at Lords on June 17th. The School, who entered the Lords Taverners competition for the first time this year, have excelled in the competition throughout. Kent cricket ran two local Table cricket competitions at The County grounds at Beckenham and Canterbury open to schools to enter from across the county and Grange Park won their local competition, the Kent play off and then the regional competition in Surrey against other school from the South East. The pupils and staff are very much looking forward to their trip to the home of cricket on 17th.
