What’s in store for Cricket4London in 2024?

Friday 19th January 2024

What is C4L?

Cricket4London is a collaborative initiative to make physical activity more accessible in the nation’s capital, using cricket, in all its forms, to engage with London’s diverse and vibrant population. It brings together the 4 London Counties of Middlesex, Essex, Kent, and Surrey with the support of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). 2023 has seen the hiring of two development officers in Kent and a beginning of various initiatives in the Southeast London Area.

2023- What did we do?

Kent Cricket and Cricket4London have come together to provide free cricket activities within the Southeast Deptford area, running in Deptford Park during the summer and running through the winter at Twin Oaks Primary School.

C4L Cricket Hub – Deptford

2024- What’s happening in my area?

In 2024 we are looking to expand our efforts throughout Lewisham and Greenwich to provide more opportunities within cricket. We have a wide range of opportunities coming to Southeast London and have teamed up with Lewisham council to provide these opportunities.

We also have a fantastic opportunity for any young Londoner to Kick start their career in 2024. The ECB and the four London-based counties are offering 4x 12-month paid internships for young people aged 18-24. No previous experience needed, or qualifications are required as this is a learning opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in cricket, sports and beyond. Therefore, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and perspectives.

Application submissions end on 24th January 2024 and we look to welcome the new interns in February. If this is of interest to you, please follow the link for more information
