Joe Weatherley, James Vince and James Fuller – 56, 73 and 78 not out respectively – had given the south coast county hope of an unlikely chase of 378.

But Nathan Gilchrist took four for 60, including the winning wicket, as Hampshire only reached 300.

It was Hampshire’s third defeat of the season, and Kent’s third victory.

Team News

Zak Crawley & Joe Denly have been added to the Kent squad that won at Hampshire last time out.

Matt Milnes has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a back injury, whilst Sam Billings’ groin injury has ruled the right-hander out of the final match of the season. Jack Leaning will continue his captaincy for this match.
