Second XI win their latest Trophy match at Beckenham

Monday 10th May 2010

Kent’s second team made it one win and a defeat, from their opening two matches, as they comprehensively beat Gloucestershire in the Trophy at Beckenham.

Batting first, on a good wicket, Kent scored 252 for 5 from their 50 overs with trialist Edward Young hitting 125. He received good support from wicketkeeper Paul Dixey, who hit 68.

Gloucestershire were never really in the hunt, in pursuit of their stiff victory target, and were eventually dismissed for 182.

A full scorecard will appear in the fixtures section shortly.
