Squad for Gloucestershire NatWest T20 Blast Announced

Thursday 26th June 2014

Men’s First Team

Fresh from their ten wicket LV= County Championship win, against Derbyshire, Kent Cricket are keen to return to victory mode in their latest NatWest T20 Blast fixture. Head Coach Jimmy Adams has stuck with the 14 man Spitfires’ squad who played in the last fixture against the Sussex Sharks. ‘Disappointing loss last Friday but very heartening to see the way the guys responded in the red ball game during the week. We know we can produce that form across all formats and aim to do it Friday night in Bristol,’ said Adams.

The Kent Spitfires maintained their perfect record against Gloucestershire in their earlier match this year, played at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence late May. Played six, won six. Batting first they reached what appeared a very chaseable total of 136, Alex Blake top scoring with 41 off 30 deliveries. The bowlers then strangled the life out of the Gloucestershire batting line up with Doug Bollinger returning 2 – 15, Adam Riley, 4 – 22 and Darren Stevens 1 – 20, all off their maximum four overs.

The match begins 5.30pm Friday, 27 June, at The Bristol County Ground, Bristol.
